Research and Planning: Film Company Logo

We have decided on using this as our production company logo.
Will will add to it some text with our production company title.

Research and Planning: Film Productions Company

Today we have came up with a few name ideas for our distribution company.
We wanted to keep with the horror/thriller genre for our film production company, much like the pre-exsisting company "Twisted Pictures".
Our ideas are:
I thought of PANIC PICTURES
Paige thought of DECAY PICTURES
& Bethan thought of FEARFUL FILMS
We will get some audience feedback on these and see which one is most preferred.

Research and Planning: The Script

Today we gathered to write our script for our trailer.
Here is a quick snap of me writing our script.
This is just a rough outline of what we would like our actors to say, in scene one we may allow the actors to go slightly off script as we want it to appear natural and spontaneous speech in order to look realistic.

Research and Planning: Test Shot

This is a test shot of our first location: College.
This showed us a few problems with the shot, as there is too much background noise from the road outside of college, which is good that we spotted now in our test shot, as oppose to when we had actually filmed the trailer.

Research and Planning: SLR Test Shots

This image was taken without flash and is slightly out of focus
Here the image is still without flash, however I think the focus is much better. The lighting is still quite dull though

I think that this image works well as the flash was used and it looks much brighter. The lighting is natural, and it has a sharp quality.

We took another shot from above (high angle shot) in order to see what the lighting would be like from this angle. We used the flash for this image and I think it has come out quite well. I will bare in mind the fact that we would be better using flash on our pictures, even when outside.

This is just a test photo of inside, and as you can see the colours are very washed out. As inside has artificial lighting, the lighting on this image has a yellow hue to it. This image was used without flash, and so if using the SLR for my work whilst shooting inside, I plan to use the flash in order to avoid this lighting.

Research and Planning: Location Risk Assessments

Research and Planning: Costume and Props for film magazine and poster

As well as costume and props for the trailer, it is also important that I concentrate on what costume and props will be needed for my individual film poster and magazine.
The costume for my film poster and magazine will mainly be the same as in the trailer.
However, instead of showing the victim to be wearing white, if I plan to only use her in my poster (not show the stalker) I will choose her to wear black in order to portray the genre of the film much clearer. However, for my magazine I mainly plan to use just the stalker for the image up to now.

MAGAZINE OUTFIT:
Stalker's Outfit:
Mask
Black oversized hoodie
Hair tied back in order to conceal identity
Dark clothing and t-shirts

Victim's Outfit:
White dress
Minimal Make-up
Hair Down

POSTER OUTFIT:
Stalker's Outfit:
Mask
Black oversized hoodie
Hair tied back in order to conceal identity
Dark clothing and t-shirts

Victim's Outfit:

Black Dress
Dark Make-up
Hair straightened

Research and Planning: Location Recce's

Our mise-en-scene manager, Paige Lowe has completed the location recce's for our trailer. These involve the 6 locations for which we plan to use in our trailer. As well as any information which will be needed such as lighting and power information.

Research and Planning: Actor Release Forms

Research and Planning: Auditions

STALKER AUDITIONS:
I think that this Actor would be an ideal stalker for our film. I think he is a quite good Actor and would fit the role quite well. He has a creepy element to him, and I also think the look fits in well with the role. We asked him to say "GET IN THE BOOT" which we will use for the final scene of our trailer. The fact that he sounded very angry when saying this has worked well, and I will now consider casting him for this role.

VICTIM AUDITIONS:
I'm not sure whether I would plan on using this actor in our film for the role of the victim. I don't think she looks innocent enough to have the role of the victim, as we need to emphasis the stereotype of the damsel in distress in our trailer in order for the audience to automatically associate with the character.
I think that this Actor is very good and I would consider her as playing the victim. However I am not totally sure that she fits the role of the victim - in terms of the typical character. Despite this, I think I would consider her for another role in the trailer, as I feel that she has a very good acting skill.
I think this Actor would work well in the trailer, as she fits the look a lot more for the type of character we want. However, I'm not sure if she has as much acting skill as is required to play the main role. I will still consider her to be the victim.
