I have noticed in the trailer for Obsessed, that the music is used to build tension. At the beginning, the music is used to build up to a point midway through the trailer, where the mood switches and the sound becomes much more urgent and fast. There are also shots of louder music, which come at the more dramatic points to the trailer. This I find quite interesting and would consider using something similar in my trailer.
